Channel Trade Association focuses exclusively on IT Security Services
November 1, 2017
Erie, Pennsylvania — The IoT Security Services Association (IoTSSA) launches its new community website and 2018 security education program today. GetChanneled, along with independent security content contributors including Ian Trump and Mike Semel, will join forces with vendor security experts in 2018 to deliver 52 podcasts, monthly security web-panels, and seven one-day roadshows.
IoTSSA regional events will be hosted at Top Golf facilities and feature twelve security services experts. MSPs can share industry insight, gain business-critical education, and have a little fun on the driving range.
“Security solutions and service delivery are areas of opportunity and confusion for IT service providers and their customers. IoTSSA will connect industry thought leaders and MSPs, and provide a platform for sharing, educating, discussing, and advancing the security services they deliver to their customers,” says Ted Roller, CEO of GetChanneled.
For security vendors like Passportal, IoTSSA provides a focused channel forum for accentuating the value of password security and the impact it has on MSPs. “We continue to develop and invest in research and case studies in our area of expertise. IoTSSA will make those resources readily available to the channel. We were among the first to join and support IoTSSA and look forward to the security conversation the association will bring to market in 2018,” says Colin Knox, CEO of Passportal.
MSPs and vendors are facing a rising number of challenges and opportunities with the rapid growth of connected technologies and the Internet of Things (IoT). Those obstacles include a lack of business collaboration, cybersecurity protocols, and education: traditional strengths for channel professionals. IoTSSA will serve to bridge that divide to the benefit of IT Security Services organizations and their customers.
Membership in IoTSSA is FREE to MSPs. Once registered, they can engage in all the security services conversations and forums offered throughout the year. IoTSSA MSP membership benefits include:
- Fifty-two (52) podcasts
- Twelve online (12) security expert panel sessions
- Seven live (7) roadshow events
- Insightful articles from respected industry thought leaders
- Blogs on the latest cybersecurity topics
- On-demand webinars featuring trending subject matter
- The IoTSSA Cybersecurity newsletter
“We are most excited about the caliber of experience and insight our vendor security experts will bring in 2018,” emphasizes Sheila Phillips, Managing Director of IoTSSA. “It’s imperative that IT service providers strive to improve their expertise in cybersecurity so they’re better equipped to support their customers’ increasingly complex systems. IoTSSA is here to serve MSPs in pursuit of that objective.”
